John & Mitch decided to get ready together in their beautiful home they had just finished renovating. Surrounded by their closest friends they started their day with private vows. It was  such a beautiful moment to be invited into to capture. They both love Newcastle so we picked a spot on Bond St in the city, not far from their ceremony location - The Edwards.

The Edwards and surrounds provided such a unique backdrop for their recessional! Normally I’m aiming for shallow depth of field in a moment like this to really hero the couple being showered with confetti, but chose to lean into the street photography feeling of the day and shot at F11. Nerding out on camera settings aside, these two were so much fun to capture. They very quickly got comfortable together in front of the lens and we hit up a couple of my favourite spots in Newcastle for sunset photos.

Sam from Silent Shout got the dance floor started and they partied hard!
